AutoCad will load faster if you do this...

Do you ever get tired of waiting for AutoCAD to load? One thing you can do to make it a litter faster for AutoCAD to open is to suppress the AutoCAD logo when it starts.

To suppress the AutoCAD logo, right click on your AutoCAD shortcut icon on your desktop. You will see a list of options, mouse down to PROPERTIES and click on it. At the top of the PROPERTIES dialogue box, you will see three tabs: GENERAL, SHORTCUT AND COMPATIBILITY. Click on the SHORTCUT tab. On the left side, you will see a heading entitled TARGET and a file path reading something like "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007\acad.exe". It may read a little differently depending on your version of AutoCAD and where it is stored on your computer.

Now all you have to do to suppress the AutoCAD logo is add /nologo to the end of this line. For example, it should now read:

"C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007\acad.exe" /nologo

After you add /nologo to the end of the line, click APPLY and close the dialogue box by clicking OK. Now click on the AutoCAD shortcut. You will see the logo is skipped and you open up directly to a drawing page.
